Nicky first started playing netball in primary school and instantly fell in love with the sport. Nicky played throughout school in the St Helens school leagues and then for her University team but stopped playing competitively due to a reoccurring injury.
Netball helped develop Nicky's all round love of sport and it was one of the driving factors of her pursuing her dream job as a PE teacher.
